The natural fibers of the loofah are tough enough to clean all surfaces well, yet gentle enough so not to scratch them. Use your loofah as a suvstitute for a synthetic kitchen sponge, to wash up, to clean worksurfaces and even to clean the car. To minimise the impact on the enironment, combine it with a natural detergent such as Marseille soap for eco-friendly house cleaning.
Before use
We recommend soaking the loofah for at least ten minutes in boiling water or putting it in the wash for a hot cycle, 60°C. The loofah will instantly and permanently regain its full volume. It will be sterilised and ready for use.
Daily use
Always wet the loofah before use, to soften the fibers.
After use
Make sure to always rinse the loofah properly, then shake it and leave it to airdry. This will keep its fibers clean.

Tip: Use drops of tea-tree essential oil as often as you feel the need, to keep your loofah fresh. This essential oil is known for its antibacterial properties, and efficiently keeps parasites, microbes and fungi away.
Time to get a new one?
Your loofah is durable. Store it away in a dry place for several months if you do not use it straight away.
When you think it is time to get a new one, put the old one in the compost or directly in the soil. It will decompose quickly because it is a 100% natural product.
