Why does Chamarrel sell compressed loofahs?
Because compressed loofahs have a better environmental impact. Because they are five times smaller, the environmental and economic impact of their packaging and transportation is reduced. Receiving one delivery box instead of five for the same number of loofahs means four fewer packaging boxes, less capacity, and less shipping costs. This is perfectly in line with Chamarrel's values.
Is a compressed loofah less beautiful or of lower quality? Not at all!
The quality of the loofah and its fibers remains intact. It instantly regains its full volume when submerged in water (see the video above).
Whether compressed or not, since it's in bulk, soaking it in water is a mandatory step for sterilizing the loofah before its first use, so it's best to go for the most environmentally friendly approach!
