Acting as a natural filter, Ceramic beads have exceptional durability and are remarkably efficient, they will help you save a lot! Help us reduce plastic waste considerably. Forget plastic water-bottles and enjoy drinking tap water. Made of clay fermented by activated micro-organisms, the beads have an action on the structure of water. They are now well known for significantly improving the taste of tap water, they also can be used in other ways, such as
- preventing limescale build-up in jugs, kettles, washing machines, dishwashers and toilets
- improving the washing and rinsing power of water
- Keeping rot away from your fruit and vegetables longer
Grey ceramic beads are effective for up to 10 years, and the pink ones for about 6 months. They have slightly different uses but they both will help you save a lot and of course they are fully biodegradable and compostable.
Binchotan activated charcoal is another natural filter, and it is also mineral.it is also 100% natural, authentic, artisanal and handmade. Let's all play our part to reduce waste, it is as simple as buying your binchotan loose, with no unnecessary packaging or label on Chamarrel.com. This is a simple, effective and sustainable no waste alternative.
Activated charcoal has been used in Japan since the 17th century, we source our Binchotan from the province of Wakayama. It is made according to the ancestral method of carbonisation and activation, in a traditional handmade oven. It is made using Ubamegashi oak wood, its high density is essential to the quality of the charcoal.
The molecules of the impuritied present in water naturally start binding themselves to the Binchotan surface. Thus the "taste" of the water is significantly improved. This natural filter makes tap water more palatable and get rid of impurities.
Our Binchotan is regularly subjected to sample analysis by an independent French laboratory*, on our initiative.
Do not hesitate to combine it with ceramic beads in your carafe, for an uncomparable synergy.
