WHY TWILIGHT WIPES?

Because beauty routines have long been associated with disposable make-up remover wipes, we have developed incredibly soft, washable make-up remover square wipes to gently change our habits. Your bathroom bin is about to get smaller again! After countless uses and washes, your sustainable wipes will simply go into the compost.

What's the special thing about washable make-up remover wipes? We have chosen natural fabrics that are very gentle on the skin, but also organic and GOTS certified wherever possible. Discover the inimitable softness of natural materials combined with your usual lotions and care products. It's hard to imagine anything more hygienic than natural hemp and its bactericidal and antifungal properties.

Our make-up remover squares are non-polluting products from their manufacture to the last stage of their life cycle. A godsend for your skin as they are free of toxic products.

To adapt to all needs, the wipes have been designed with 2 usable sides:

• One in cotton and hemp fleece* (55% hemp, 45% cotton from organic farming),
• The other in GOTS certified organic cotton flannel.

USE

As usual, put your make-up remover on the wipe or directly on the skin, massage lightly and remove it with the wipe.

At the end of their life, the make-up remover squares are only made of natural materials, so you can recycle them. They are even biodegradable and therefore compostable.

HOW TO KEEP THEM LONGER

Wash the wipes at 40° or less. In the event of persistent stains, clean beforehand with Marseille soap, or soak in stain-removing salt or percarbonate of soda.

WHY CHOOSE GOTS ORGANIC COTTON?

The choice of materials is one of Chamarrel®'s major concerns. 

Why not Tencel or Bamboo?

To make washable wipes, many people turn to bamboo or Tencel (Eucalyptus fibres). These materials are relatively cheap and allow to label a product eco-friendly. However these products are too often far from being eco-friendly in reality. From the cultivation of bamboo and eucalyptus, which destroys the biodiversity of the regions, to the manufacturing processes involving solvents and the use of a lot of water (which can be expected to transform such rigid fibres into a soft fabric), these fabrics only look eco-friendly.

What about cotton? 

Cotton is natural and it is easy to turn into fabric without addiing chemical products. But can it be grown in an environmentally friendly way? It all depends on the production methods used. We have chosen in most cases, GOTS certified organic cotton. This certification guarantees the absence of chemical treatments from production to design, and also a good use of natural resources (such as water), as well as good working conditions for the workers. 

With the choice of GOTS cotton we strive to take care of your skin, not adding any irritating, allergenic or toxic products, but also of the planet! 

Why choose hemp? 

The choice of hemp is a simple and reasoned one. Hemp is natural, it is produced locally and requires little water and little fertiliser to grow. Moreover, it has bactericidal and antifungal properties, which make it an excellent eco-friendly ally for daily skin care.
